I find that I am unable to connect with the internet when I try to access it from the Knowledge Base section of Nero Plat.17. I just get a message that the Internet is not available. I have been trying to access the Nero manuals but without success The thing is that my Internet connection is fine and works with all other programs or apps. In fact I had to use the net to get to this forum, although I did route myself via the Nero website. Any ideas anyone of how to sort this one? A complete uninstall followed by a clean re install crossed my mind, but maybe there is a quicker way.

Thanks to all who have contributed to this issue that I have. I was not aware that there was an ‘app’, as I was trying to access Nero Knowhow through the links within Nero Platinum 17. I have now installed the app on my computer, but it Nero Knowledge still cannot be accessed. I am still get the ‘No Internet’ message. As all my other internet connections work, then I have to assume that there are issues with the app. Ho! Hum!

As am interim measure I have downloaded the 2016 manual for clues to any information that I need. Not up to date but I guess it will have to do for the time being.

I realize that the system should work as advertised but, in my opinion, I would leave it alone. What’s that old saying “leave well enough alone.” If you need help with something, you can always start a new thread and we can attempt to help you.

Note that you can always contact technical support about this issue rather than jumping through hoops in the forum.

Hi Bob and Mark, we are still trying to figure out what could be the problem and the next thing we want to check is if you are using an internet proxy in your setup. Could you please go in Windows to Settings > Network Internet > Proxy and let us know what settings are there? For most users all should be set to “OFF”. Please copy and paste the link also to the Microsoft edge browser and let us know if it works there. Your kind support on the matter would be very much appreciated.
